The Unbothered Network is seeking a dynamic creative producer to work closely with our Head of Content/Executive Producer in building a slate of shows spanning a variety of formats and genres for and by Black women, in partnership with Spotify Studios. This role will serve as the day-to-day creative oversight for all elements of pre-production, production, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a background in editorial and audio production and leads with a collaborative and compassionate spirit. They will work cross-functionally, give and receive constructive feedback, and pitch stellar ideas, while managing select greenlit shows, end to end. This role is: Remote, Full-time Contractor



  • Help build and shape a portfolio of podcasts for the Unbothered Network

  • Contribute fresh ideas to keep Unbothered Network content compelling, fun, and innovative, including suggestions for shows, themes, stories, and content for special episodes

  • Create standout pitch materials for talent, their representation, and Spotify Studios; assist in ushering pitches through green light process

  • Cultivate, maintain, and manage relationships with hosts, providing clear and consistent feedback to help them reach their full potential

  • Co-manage the production schedule for new shows including story selection, writing and researching scripts, overseeing select recording sessions and post-production

  • Help manage the relationship between Unbothered and Spotify Studios in shepherding notes and deliverables between the two in a timely fashion 


You have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of creative podcast producing experience at a network, production company, or radio station (freelance or staff)

  • A strong track record of developing, producing, and launching successful podcasts

  • Adept in writing and script editing

  • Outstanding project management skills

  • Proficiency in creating pitch materials — presentation decks, budgets, schedules

  • Experience with audio editing software (Descript, ProTools, Adobe Audition, Hindenburg), publishing tools (Megaphone and Anchor), and recording in a studio setting, in the field, and via remote kits from home, desired but not required
